VMware’s approach to modern applications uses the Kubernetes API for VMware vSphere to expose compute, networking and storage along with services to manage the lifecycle of VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid clusters and virtual machines (VM Service). The Cloud Consumption Interface abstracts the Kubernetes API across vSphere clusters and VMware vCenter instances by providing cloud-level constructs, such as projects and regions, enabling developer automation without the need to understand the underlying infrastructure.
